“Most of the stablecoin money builders can reach is in dollars, while plenty of their users live their lives in euros. EURC gives every team on SODAX a regulated euro option through the integration they already have. This week we take that to Lisbon, because Meridian puts us in the room with the Stellar builders most likely to use it.”
SODAX Expands Assets with EURC Whitelisting, Alongside 51 Other Assets
Last Wednesday, SODAX whitelisted EURC on Ethereum, Base and Stellar. EURC is the euro stablecoin issued by Circle, and it is now tradable against every asset already whitelisted on SODAX across all 21 blockchain networks SODAX supports, with execution coordinated across those networks.
Most of the stablecoin liquidity a DeFi team can reach today is denominated in dollars. A wallet or app whose users earn, save and spend in euros has usually had to wire up a euro stablecoin one network at a time, or ask those users to convert into dollars first. Teams already building on SODAX now get EURC through the integration they already have, and their users can trade into or out of EURC from any of the 21 networks.
Heading to Lisbon for Meridian
This week the SODAX team is in Lisbon for Stellar Meridian, at Convento do Beato. Stellar is one of the three networks where EURC just went live on SODAX, so Meridian is a good place to talk it through with the builders who will use it.
If you’re building on Stellar, or anywhere across blockchain networks, and want to talk about what EURC on SODAX could mean for your product, DM David @real_digidavid on X, book a braindate, or find him on the floor.
If SODAX is new to you: it’s the cross-network execution and liquidity system that grew out of the ICON Network, now spanning 21 blockchain networks. Wallets, DEXs and lending protocols build on the SDK to reach every network SODAX touches, and you can find every whitelisted asset, EURC included, in the asset directory.
